****Update from Meet Director
Due to the fact that there are 550 swimmers attending this meet, which is nearly 100 more then last year, we have a full schedule. Sessions 1 and 2 are almost 4 hours each, and session 3 is 2.5 hours. In order to have the swimmers finish as early as possible we are using our 2nd pool for warmups as well. That pool does not having starting blocks, so in order to be fair to those swimmers we are providing them with the opportunity to do a few starts at the conclusion of their warmups. We have allowed 20 minutes for that, with the sessions starting within 15 minutes after that time.
If we find that the coaches and swimmers are finished sooner with starts then we intend to start the sessions as soon as possible, allowing for the swimmers to be properly marshaled.
In addition, we believe that our marshaling will allow for a smooth flow of the meet with less downtime then in past years. Our goal is to finish each session ahead of the current timeline.*****
EEX has one alternate timing session on Sat PM and will be called on to time if another team does not show. Listen for EEX being called down.
All swimmers doing the 500 free should have their own counters and timers.

Message from Princeton Facility - Attention all Participants for the Tiger Aquatics Swim Meet on January 15th and 16th:
Due to multiple events on campus, parking for this event will be somewhat limited. Please try to carpool as much as possible. The fewer cars on campus, the easier it will be to find suitable parking.
Also, please see the attached campus map for overflow parking areas. There are parking lots just north of Princeton Stadium, along Western Way, that are not much further than the back of the main parking lot as well as a parking garage (North Garage) along Prospect Avenue.

NOTE: Just a reminder that it is EEX policy that parents are not permitted on the pool deck or in the upstairs bleachers during normal practice hours. Thank you for your cooperation.
On December 10-12th, EEX will be hosting the Holiday Classic at Rutgers. This fast qualifying meet is a fun meet to host and enjoyed by swimmers all over the region.

All AM Sessions (13/over Prelims) - 6:30 am ***
All Finals Sessions (13/over Finals) - 5:00 pm
***NOTE: The Friday morning early session is for 500s only. All 500 swimmers (including EEX swimmers) need to provide their own timers; therefore, EEX morning session timers do not need to time the 500s. EEX Friday morning timers need to check in by 9:15 am for the non-500 session. Again, if your senior athlete is in the 500, they need to have their own timer present (even if they drive themselves). This is for Friday morning only!!! Saturday and Sunday morning sessions are regular sessions and require all timers.
Directions to Raritan Bay Y Pool in Perth Amboy. If you do use google or mapquest for your directions, print a set out for coming home too, as there are a few one way systems in the area.
Team Sweatshirt and Tshirts Ordering and New Parent Meeting
Oct 10, 2010
***** Update 10/13/10 - The last chance to order team apparel is this Friday. All orders and checks (made out to Express Sports) may be handed to Meredith on Friday after practice. In addition, anyone who has not ordered a team suit has once last chance. Please contact Meredith directly by Thursday and she will facilitate the suit order for you. Metro expects the team suits to be sent next week and the personalized caps by mid November*********
.On Monday (10/11/10) and Tuesday (10/12/10) nights, we'll have team t-shirts, sweatshirts (hoodies), shorts, etc. available for fitting and ordering (up until 7:30 pm).
Also, we'll have a NEW PARENT meeting both Monday (10/11/10) and Tuesday (10/12/10) nights - Monday night at 5:00pm; Tuesday night at 6:30pm. You can attend either meeting, you don't need to attend both.
If you are getting swipe cards for the automated gate, you must pick them up in person with Meredith who will be at the pool Wednesday 10/6/10 and Friday 10/8/10.
If you are just picking up window cards to display, you have the option of your swimmers bringing them home, or picking them up at the pool either Wed or Fri after practice.
This year's meet is smaller than last. This works in our favor in that the sessions are a bit shorter then normal. We will try to provide breaks where possible to allow swimmers the ability to loosen down between swims. Below are the session times and approximate end times:
9-12 AM session (Saturday & Sunday): Warm-up @ 7 am, Meet @ 8 am (over around 10:45am each day)
11 & Over 500 Free (Saturday)/400 IM (Sunday): Warm-up @ 11am, Meet @ 11:45 am (NO EEX ATHLETES ENTERED in these sessions)
13 & Over PM Sessions (Saturday and Sunday): Warm-up 1pm, Meet @ 2 pm (over around 4:45pm each day)
Message from Coach Mike 10/07/10:
Meet Procedures:
All swimmers should arrive AT LEAST 10 minutes before their scheduled warm-up time so that coaches can check athletes in and prepare them for warm-up. I am still waiting for our exact warm-up assignments, but for now assume that it's 7:00am for 12 & Unders and 1:00pm for 13 & Overs. If I find out that we're the second warm-up on either morning, I will be sure to let you know so that you can take advantage of the additional thirty minutes of sleep!
Parents should stay OFF DECK once warm-up has begun. Swimmers are free to visit with their parents and restock on food and drinks in the spectator area at any time during the meet provided that they let their coach(s) know where they are going and that they have ample time before their next race.
Adjusted Friday 10/08/10 Practice Schedule:
Senior I: 4:45-6:30 (late start, early dismissal)
Pre-Senior: 4:45-6:15 (normal start, early dismissal)
Age Group II: 4:45-6:15 (early start, early dismissal)
** Age Group II Parents: My purpose in beginning practice so early is so that the kids (and you guys) can get home and to bed early in anticipation of an early Saturday morning commute. If you cannot get your swimmer to TCNJ at this time, that’s perfectly fine, but try to have them arrive to practice as early as possible so that they can leave the pool by 6:15 to get some rest.**
